Sensei, it was a great event and a tough experience for all.
Wish you were here.

The senseis, volunteers and students worked hard together for this day.

I took part in this contest twice before this time in Haiku section, which was a great experience, but this year was the first attempt in speech. I must say it is a different story. I know I wasn't ready for it, but I had no choice but to participate this year, and I am very glad I did.

I am so happy for all the winners. They really deserved it. As for the ones who didn't win, they should all be happy they got the guts to be part of this year's contest, this is a contest where everybody is a winner, after all, they did give us all some beautiful Japan calenders. (^-^)

Good luck for all the Japanese language lovers. May this contest grow bigger and better each year.

no no, they didn't leave anything edible. I was a little late on the mu3ajanat and when I went to eat, poff! they were all gone.. or as our Japanese friends would say '消えちゃった'

Ocha no, your speech subject was, hands down, the most original (and my favourite too)

nijukkiro..

you are right though, Haiku and Speech are two entirely different beasts. There's something about speaking all in japanese infront of a crowd for the first time..

mata aimashou ne, ocha.

Dear all, thank you for the great support! It really means a lot to me.

Being the last to present was not easy at all, you can imagine how people get fed up and want to leave by that time, but the audience (you and everyone else) helped a lot and gave me a push to keep on going!

I am very glad I participated this year. It has been a great experience socially and educationally.

All the best of luck to you and hope to hear great news from you all the time.
